💔 Urgent appeal to compassionate hearts 💔
My husband is in critical condition… the infection has reached his bone, and the risk of amputation threatens him at any moment.
We urgently need to perform a culture test for the infection.
We need:
A wheelchair to help him move
Urgent medical tests
Antibiotics
Daily bandages and painkillers to relieve his pain
In Gaza, medicines and tests are extremely expensive.
We urgently need $500 to save him.

I am Om Sham (Lina, 31). My husband Mahmoud Abu Shamalah (31) was injured in war in both legs and is now wheelchair-bound. His right foot is at risk of amputation — it has a 15cm bone deficiency requiring bone grafting that isn't available in Gaza. He needs to travel abroad for the surgery.

I’ve been in dark places recently. I didn’t know if I was gonna make it through the holidays. Lots of depression, anxiety, and drinking.

Man, did I need a lift. And I got it.

My lovely friend @resl visited us in Portland. We met for vegan food and uplifting conversation. She also brought her rad friend @darius who I met for the first time at lunch. We have tons in common and I’m grateful she introduced us.

What a gift. This was a good day. ❤️
