Saji is Naeema's youngest brother, he's 9 and in 3rd grade.
Friends are from camp in Al Mawasi, Rafah, Gaza. They all go to the same UNICEF school in tent.

“My best friend saw a t-shirt that was so me, unicorns, pink, and Dungeons and Dragons, and wanted to get it for me. They messaged me to say ‘do you want this? coz I think you need it? if so lemme know colour and size and I'll get it and send it direct to you.’ And they did!”
I am wiped but my amazing friend has built a cube storage thing and a bookcase from IKEA for me, helped move things around, built some lightweight cubes into the top of my wardrobe, and bought me lunch.
My bedroom has a bit more space now due to the change in furniture and my bookcase(s) being on the landing now, so easier to move around which is so helpful.
Still some bits need doing but it's a huge improvement. I'm so grateful.
A nice obituary from December 31, 2024 about my Great Uncle Herman Neufeld (my mom's Uncle).
I never really knew him as I grew up 4000km away... but he had a positive impact on people, especially Jamaican workers, in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
"Herman, who died Dec. 31, became very involved in the Niagara Workers Welcome services and other outreach programs. He considered the farmworkers his friends and neighbours, and treated them as such."

After living in Germany for almost nine years and adopting a stray dog four years ago, the saying "dogs are a person's best friend" makes much more sense. This is true even though I grew up surrounded by dogs.

💜 I have an echocardiogram scheduled for tomorrow morning. My last cardiac episode was in April and I feel fine, so 🤞 🫀
