If you are in Portland, and need a rack for gear, please let me know.
One could use either of them for servers or audio gear or whatever feels at home in an 18" rack.
Got a couple of historic pieces -- one from the original KBOO studio and the other from the old Planetarium at OMSI -- that could use new homes.
They've got interesting histories, and you could make more history with 'em. All reasonable offers considered.

The President of these United States:
“If we go to #Portland, we’re going to wipe them out, they’re going to be gone. They’ve ruined that city. … What they’ve done to that place, it’s like living in hell.”
Oh I can assure you, it will be heaven on earth in our fair city the day your ass is rotting in a goddamn jail cell, you contemptible clod.

Hi #Portland friends! Fastly is looking for a SOC Analyst with Japanese fluency! Would anyone be willing to refer me so I can have a shot at talking to a real person about how excited I am about this rare opportunity!? https://www.fastly.com/about/jobs/apply?gh_jid=7206182
I promise I'm a solid candidate because:
- I'm bilingual with professional work experience in Japan 🇯🇵
- I'm great at customer success & support (I was trusted with access to corporate Twitter accounts!)
- I never shut up about cybersecurity & Linux 🙂

A few weeks after the Mt Rainer feat, some friends went camping and hiking all around the Orcas islands and we never lost contact at all.
At times they had better connection to the mesh while camping than they do in the city.
They hiked up Mt Constitution and were able to get direct line of sight connections to repeaters in Seattle using a typical handheld LoRa radio with an external antenna.
Over this weekend I was sadly asleep for one of my favorite effects in radio, tropospheric ducting!
I'd read a paper years ago from a team who detected ducting events in 868MHz LoRaWAN networks. These events allow end devices to reach concentrator nodes hundreds of miles away, possibly even beyond the curve of the earth.
I was wondering if we'd see this in lora meshes and turns out YES!

According to reports from pro-#AI attendees at a business meetup in #Portland, #Oregon, anti-AI protesters showed up outside, throwing eggs and paint at cars and distributing pamphlets with the following message:
“BUTLERIAN JIHAD AGAINST AI
never ending destruction and death propels the machine of progress. AI rides on the front of this beast, annihilating humanity, leaving nothing in its wake but sterile boxes to lock us in and apps to keep us sedated. while the techies are inside sipping their cocktails the rest of us are faced with a choice: to accept our position at the bottom of the social order or find our people and bring the whole thing down. only we can decide to smash the screens that are brainwashing us into submission.the time is now,
the day is here,
ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK!”

Hey, Portland!
Does anyone want an Epiphone SG "Bully" guitar? All black, dual humbucker, with some wood carved out (then mostly filled in) under the bridge.
It turns out I just like guitars with more mass on them (helps me stabilize) and the SG is too thin for me to enjoy playing. I could trade it in but I'd rather just see if anyone wants it first, especially because I didn't pay a lot for it and so there's not even that much I'd be looking to get back. I'm happy to throw in a guitar strap that isn't my style. I replaced one of the pots on it (I did not do a great job and used the wrong size and I widened the hole a little... not my best work BUT it is all working!)
Boosts okay/appreciated! Can/will provide pics on demand. Holds a tune as far as I can tell.
