I don’t know if anyone else who wants one has not bought an #Xmas tree yet, but if you want to copy or take inspiration from what we do:
Every third year my family buys a living fruit tree to decorate which goes in the garden afterwards, and one of the thirds we buy a living #AoNZ #native #tree, and the final third we buy a pine tree (just for nostalgia once in a while).
This year is the fruit tree year and we’ll get a lemon tree, which we don’t have yet in our garden.
With the prices of dead pine trees, why not spend the same money on a living plant which will take up carbon rather than release it as it rots after Xmas? And also it’ll continue to give you joy after the #holiday season.
It gives more variety and we get to keep a whole lot of trees for our #garden!

Edit to update: We ended up getting three fruit trees since they were cheap: A Lemon, a Lime and a Plumcot.
Will post pics once they’re decorated, follow to make sure you see them, if you wish to :)
