Lecker! Aber ob das noch #NoDig ist? :thisisfine: #CCS

Clearing another patch for #nodig veg beds. #gyo #gardening

A corner of a field featuring solar panels, a red cart, and various containers. The scene includes overgrown grass, a cleared area with organic layers building up slowly. There’s a potato patch in the left corner, the existing beds centre of the shot and a small stable in the background.

Dear #permaculture & #nodig folk, how are y'all handling _the spreading_ of #woodchips during a #drought? Rather not and instead waiting for moister weather, or do you rather water them before spreading?

I'm wondering wether their insulating effect is a problem on soil that's dry to start with. The first few rains here seem to have barely moistened the top woodchip layer, but haven't reached the ground.

Seems like watering soil before spreading any cover seems best + then watering some more?
