I just rewatched it. It has brutal Homeland Security guards tazing '"illegals" & snatching a child from her mother who had healed her with a #Medbed

In 2025, the GOP is cutting real healthcare to millions this week. #ICE is brutalizing, shooting & deporting people for misdemeanors.

These days I’m reading Service Model, by Adrian Tchaikovsky. I’d qualify it as a “Good Time SF” book.

It’s not the most scientifically accurate nor the most socio-technically plausible book on my shelf, but it’s not a big problem.

You’re following the adventures of (Un)Charles, a valet robot through a post-collapse world. You see the world from his robotic, judgement-less perspective.

It’s refreshing and pleasant. I’m happy to dive into it each night before bed!

BTW, anyone else getting #CowboyBebop vibes from #KnightsOfGuinevere? #SciFi, but everything's duct-taped together from scrap, focuses on a group of losers trying to get by and make rent, megacorporation(s) rule everything, etc...
I think it could be called #cyberPunk, even if it doesn't look like typical cyberpunk. (Which IMHO makes it better than 99.9% of cyberpunk. Fight me.)
