Explanation:
That's no moon. On the ground, that's the Lars Homestead in Tunisia. And that's not just any galaxy. That's the central band of our own Milky Way galaxy. Last, that's not just any meteor. It is a bright fireball likely from last year's Perseids meteor shower. The featured image composite combines consecutive exposures taken by the same camera from the same location. This year's Perseids peak during the coming weekend is expected to show the most meteors after the first quarter moon sets, near midnight. To best experience a meteor shower, you should have clear and dark skies, a comfortable seat, and patience.

A starry sky is seen above a structure with an iconic dome. A person in shadow stands at the entrance. Sloping down in the sky is the central band of our Milky Way Galaxy. Just below the Milky Way is the streak of a bright meteor.

Part of the problem is probably that we see Vader having become one with the Force at the end of Episode VI

Except because of the way the movie is as viewable now we DON'T, we see Anakin. Which I think is actually a pretty good change (sucks for the Vader actor though). We see that thanks to killing the greater evil in Palpatine and through Luke's love, Vader dies and Anakin is saved

But none of this wipes his slate clean and I imagine his eternity will not be a quiet one

I just finished reading (well, listening to) Star Wars: Midnight Horizon and… idk. It started out pretty slow and the voice actor took a long time to get used to. I also feel like the padawans in this book are written (and read) as much younger and less mature than in other High Republic novels—which was weird.

Over all I did end up enjoying the book and the overarching story/perspective, but it feels quite a bit weaker than other entries in the series.

What if the Death Star was not a mere weapon, but a Sith altar of human sacrifice? A dark place this line of thought will carry you...

Read the full (and dare I say chillingly plausible!) theory at my #blog: https://www.adamasnemesis.com/2025/06/18/star-wars-the-dark-theory/

This post's featured image is Edvard Munch's "The Vampire" (trust me, the Sith are so much worse...).

Well, having finished Andor season 2, I just finished rewatching Rogue One. I enjoyed it more in some ways for knowing some of Andor's backstory. But that just underscores how undeveloped the characters were. We were supposed to feel something when they all died at the end, in quick succession. But I didn't feel like I really got to know them, and it all happened too fast.

I thought it was average the first time, and my opinion hasn't really changed.
