Almost Human s01e06 is a troubling demonstration of how the power to control tech that other people depend on, can be abused. Gangsters give people synthetic hearts, programmed to stop at the end of the month unless the transplant recipient pays the demanded subscription.

Um, no. What we actually need to ween ourselves off is oil. Finite, polluting, increasingly expensive fossil fuels. That's a problem. This "Debt crisis" is an invention and a distraction.

Maid (2021) is really good. Harrowing, hard to watch, but really good. It's such a breath of fresh air to see a story about the lives of the people who clean the huge McMansions the people in most TV shows live in. The inability of those people to understand just what a desperate struggle life can be for those less fortunate.
Don't be put off by the clumsy pilot episode, Almost Human s01e02 (2013) isn't bad.
One clever thing about Andor is that they've given themselves only 2 seasons to get from Cassian's initial contact with the rebels, to his death in Rogue One. As well as forcing the writers to give us a story with a definite end, that removes any temptation to pad it out with trivia to keep the cash train rolling.

Good writing sticks to telling the characters' story, in all it's messiness, and leaves the audience to interpret what it all means. Is Blake or Avon a hero or a villain? That's up to the viewer to decide.
