Just finished this piece, is heading to Hawai'i next month for an exhibition with Thinkspace Gallery at the State Art Museum in Honolulu. This is part of the bigger Hwai'i Walls event lasting for about a week.

Oracular Oriole - an oracle bird reading prophecies from matcha tea (milk foam in the shape of an open eye) with the inscriptions on the cup " Know thyself "- a Greek maxim referencing the oracle of Delphi. Oracular Oriole has great taste and proudly wears its sacred matcha brush as a hat. A cozy atmosphere adds to the magic, candles, and bowls filled with matcha/autumn leaves, spices like cinnamon, anise stars, vanilla pods, pumpkin/matcha powder, its favorite orange/lemon/citrus zest, and blueberries can be seen, too. In the front, two orioles are visiting this magical place none of them look like the other. They are much smaller than the mystical Oriole in the center of attention and are here to receive their reading. The sand on the floor forms lots of circles, a bit like a zen garden. Some sand routes seem to have moved a teapot to the scenery. These circular patterns also appear in the background but are colorful seagrass decoration. Electric pulses and colorful light show how far the supernatural work is at its current state. What will the future hold for the Orioles?
