🌻 Your emotional system is the engine of your success. But if you’re always running on empty, you need more than self-care—you need Emotional Hygiene.

I'm a systems person, and I look to the beautiful plumeria for the perfect blueprint. The 5 petals of this flower mirror the five virtues that create Coherence and end energy waste:

1. Aloha (Love): The foundation of self-respect
2. Ha’aha’a (Humility): Knowing when to ask for help and when to rest
3. Lōkahi (Unity): Ensuring your mind and body work as one system
4. ʻOluʻolu (Agreeableness): The ability to adapt gracefully
5. Ahonui (Patience): The long-term view that prevents daily burnout

These 5 simple rules are how we build an unbreakable, thriving life.

Which one of the 5 needs your focus today?

1/2 🌀 Emotional Healing & Self-Respect.

If you feel anxious, your brain tries to use thinking to fix the problem. You might know why you are stressed, but your body still feels unsafe. This is because real emotional healing needs more than just talking.

Most healing is Top-Down: we use the thinking part of the brain (the mind) to control the body. But long-term stress and trauma are kept in the body's survival parts. Your logical mind cannot tell your body to stop feeling threatened.

This morning, my lower back and right shoulder were locked up. I realised this was a deep sadness from my cat passing away. My mind accepted the loss, but my body kept the shock and sadness as a physical block.

This is why the Resonant Life OS starts with a Bottom-Up foundation. We open our awareness to let the body's wisdom lead the healing process.

2/2 Somatic Healing.

My own healing started with respecting my body. After using an electric heating pad gently for safety, I followed the ALOHA Way (our 5-step method) to make repair happen:

Attunement (Kindness): I used Tea Meditation to focus my mind and treat my body's needs with kindness, not blame.

Oscillation (Agreeableness): I then did Qigong movement. This intentional movement talks directly to the nervous system. It helps release the energy of grief and trauma. It moves the feeling state from Force (tension) to Power (flow).

Lightness, Harbouring, and Allowance: The rest was about resting more, creating a safe space using a gratitude journal, and accepting that this deep processing must take its own time.

We treat the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—to build a stable, strong system.

What is one Bottom-Up practice you honour in your life? Let's talk.

I created a simple code for remembering the 12 main energy pathways (Meridians) used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)!

TCM sees the body as an energy map where life force (Qi) must flow smoothly.

The 12 primary channels are split into Yin (Inner Flow) and Yang (Outer Flow).

YIN Meridians (The Inner Flow): Supine or protected areas (front of body, inner limbs). Flow goes UP.

YANG Meridians (The Outer Flow): Prone of sunlit areas (back of body, outer limbs). Flow goes DOWN.

My code for the 6 Yin Meridians: PH LIPS (Inner Flow, UP the body)

P: Pericardium (The Heart Protector, Fire)

H: Heart (The Emperor, Fire)

L: Lung (Metal)

I: Liver (Wood)

P: Spleen (Earth)

S: Kidney (Water)

These channels manage the dense organs and emotional regulation.

Check the next post for the Yang channels!

Continuing the Meridian Code! This is the code for the 6 Yang Meridians: LT BUGS (Outer Flow, DOWN the body)

This group manages the hollow organs and protective/detoxification functions.

L: Large Intestine (Metal)

T: San Jiao/Triple Warmer (The Heat Regulator, Fire)

B: Bladder (The Longest Detox Channel, Water)

U: Stomach (Earth)

G: Gall Bladder (Wood)

S: Small Intestine (Fire)

The Central Axis: Beyond the 12, the 2 central regulators are the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) which governs all Yin, and the Du Mai (Governing Vessel) which governs all Yang.

How I now remember: I think of Philippine (PH) LIPS (inside) for Yin; Lit Bugs (like a firefly outside) for Yang Meridians to help anchor the energy map!

This came to me during meditation earlier :)
