European Commission

Have you heard of the 3-30-300 🌳 rule?

Everyone should be able to:

🌲 See at least 3 trees from their home
🌳 Have 30% tree canopy cover in their neighbourhood
🍃 Live within 300 metres of a high-quality green space

Trees help us cool down our towns in the summer, improve air quality and regulate the water cycle.

That’s why The EU Biodiversity Strategy commits to planting at least 3 billion additional trees in the EU by 2030.

@EUCommission Looking at you #Ireland, with your embarrassingly low tree cover percentage.

wee reminder: even if you don't like kneecap's music (i do!), but you respect their unflinching stance on injustice, you can support them by purchasing an item from their bandcamp shop. :)

this is a long shot but:

wanted please: small house or ground-floor flat to rent in the UK (preferably cymru/wales) or eire/ireland for a well-behaved couple and their two well-behaved indoor cats.

it's us (the couple)! we both work and are quiet, tidy, and respectful. we'd be after something long-term ideally and would absolutely prefer rural.

max rent around £600/700€, but we husband is very handy so could help with anything that needs fixing.

thank you!
(please boost, if you don't mind)

edited: yes i know these prices are ridiculously low for today's housing absurdity and that there's nothing available because the rental markets are unfettered by such constraints as affordability. but they're what we can pay, and you never know until you ask!
