It's upsetting to watch #Democrats scramble to downplay Mamdani's victory by implying he only works as a leader in #NYC
As if people in Virginia, or the mid-west don't also want affordable housing and healthcare, or for billionaires to pay their fair share in taxes.
This is why so many of us on the left are mad at the Dems. They are obstructionists for wealthy interests, and if we don't vote for neoliberalism they're okay with #fascism
Their donors want anything but #democraticSocialism
I'm tired of the dems do-nothing-say-nothing strategy; waiting, hoping that Rigged System Pro gets bad enough that we vote back in Rigged System Classic(tm). Then it's back to gaslighting the poor that the system is working for them.
