EXHIBITION Wales is...for her St Fagans National Museum of History The journey of women’s football in Wales hasn’t been easy. From a 50-year ban to lack of funding, its rise in popularity happened against all odds. Today, the Cymru Women’s team is attracting record crowds, and their recent success has inspired young girls across the country to support and play the game. This display has been created in partnership with the Welsh Football Collection, Wrexham County Borough Museum and the Football Association of Wales. It includes stories and objects relating to the national team from Amgueddfa Cymru’s collection and the Welsh Football Collection. Wrexham is set to welcome a new ‘Museum of Two Halves’ in 2026. Consisting of an enhanced museum for Wrexham, alongside a brand-new football museum for Wales.

The Welsh Government are doing a consultation on its pro-trans schools policy. UK Gender Critical activists are upset and are trying to brigade it to push it in an anti-trans direction. Please fill out the consultation to try to reinforce the pro-trans stance.

Do you ever follow your heart?

The chapel in the village where I grew up has been up for sale since the end of May. I immediately knew I had to do something... but I didn't do anything...

Hi Friends- humble request for help. My artwork Landscape with Red Kites is for sale and I’d love to sell it urgently to fund hospital care for my cat Flash who is critically ill.

Flash is insured with PetPlan but her vet and hospital fees are around £3500 now and the insurance limit is £4000. She’s been in hospital for 2 nights and probably needs to stay in til Monday. I also need to fund 20% of the cost myself and will have ongoing costs to manage her condition.

Flash is very ill with ketoacidosis as we discovered too late that she is diabetic. She really, really wants to live and is fighting like the bravest solider. She is showing signs of improvement as she is now eating and standing up from time to time. But still very weak and needs round the clock monitoring of her glucose levels, potassium and electrolyte levels. She is getting the best possible care at veterinary hospital.

My artwork Landscape with Red Kites is an embroidered love letter to the Dyfi Valley, produced as a commission for the National Librady of Wales initiative Celf ar Y Cyd. It measures 10 inches diameter, and is made with around 30,000 stitches. It took 60 hours to make over 3 weeks. It’s the perfect piece for any proud Welsh interior or indeed for anyone who loves Wales, wherever they are based.

As an artist I have decades of experience in exhibiting nationally and internationally, including in London’s Yinka Shonibare space. My work has won awards and I have produced work funded by the Arts Council of Wales. In more ask Fedi (or in this case just Toot Wales) questions; how bad is Google translate for Welsh?

I am horribly aware that @RepairCafe_Barry only post in English and that is 100% because I don't speak Welsh and we can't afford a translator for our posts.
I'm wary of posting possibly (probably) inaccurate Welsh but wondering what people think?
