I'm into #AI, #ALife, #Biology, and #Philosophy, because I want to understand #life, #adaptation, and #intelligence using my native language of #ComputerScience. I've been going back to my #FOSS roots, and gradually #DeGoogle ing my life. I still love to talk about #code #craft, #UX, and healthy #engineering #culture. Recently I've been enjoying #gpu #programming, mostly in #taichilang.

All kinds of people are valid and worthy, but #trans people, folks on the #autism spectrum, and #bipoc get a shout out right now because they need our support.

What I’d love to see: An in-depth wide-ranging review of the various “workspace” tools - docs, sheets, calendars - that are options for people who want to de-Google themselves. I know about Proton, Fastmail, etc, but not from people who've daily-driven more than one of them.

I recently installed @e_mydata on an old phone.

And i must say I'm delighted. It feels snappy, installing aid is no problem without authenticating to the play store, everything works.
I still need to wrap around some features like parental control (how can i temporarily disable it e.g. to install apps?) and the multi user feature (how can i install apps for all users, make another user admin?).

Trying all this on an old phone enables me to test everything and prepare the next step to #degoogle
