This 100+ meter waterfall in the Gältebach comes down from the flanks of the Wildhorn.

As one of my friends said: here they could shoot a scene from the Mandalorian.

Now that I'm back from vacation and people who saw my status images say "how did you carry your equipment up the hills!? " - No need to do that.
I have a complete Sony DSLR equipment, used it 20 years, but do not need it anymore, all shots are taken with a mid class xiaomi mobile phone.🤷‍♂️

But learning to take pictures with manual settings for so many years was the best training for me and my sense of perspective. Let's reduce now, I'm ready.

Packing for the upcoming :sac: course "Tourenleiter Bergwandern", leaving tomorrow. Theoretical stuff all done and dusted. Test tour planning sheet filled out. Will play around with the compass some more. And then we will just have to see what the entry test will bring. 🤞

3/ left Precipice lake after lunch, ran back down to Hamilton lake, and an hour later I was swimming. That felt great, dried off and got a private bivy spot on the rocks off the water before other hikers started showing up. Chatted with some people, most were looping from Mineral King or heading to Whitney on HST.
