Walk a shelter dog

Not everyone has a four-legged friend waiting at home at the end of a hard day. Even when pet ownership isn’t in the cards, it’s possible to get a furry friend fix at many area shelters. At the Humane Society, depending on the animals and the day, it’s possible to stop in and take a dog in need of a good home out for a walk. Some are located near trails, like the St. Paul Humane Society, with paths that wind through parts of Como Park. Minneapolis Animal Control relies on volunteers to help care for their animals. Just check with your local shelter on their policies ahead of time.

Along the shore of a large lake. Just offshore is a patch of water grasses and leafy aquatic plants growing among several partially submerged boulders. Along the far shore, two low wooded ridges converge, silhouetted in the evening light. A soft breeze is rippling the waters of the lake, which mirror the sky above: a soft blue gray with clusters of small clouds that are a somewhat darker shade of blue gray. Near the horizon many of the clouds are streaked with bright dark pink by the recently set sun.

Oh almost missed #MountainMonday !
I was out recently just for a bit of training. Luckily I also packed the camera "just in case ..." and saw this frosty / snowy scene.

For those who cannot walk the mountains and see such scenese themselfes.
