My partner and I visited Norway and hiked (a surprisingly short hike) to a place called Litlefjellet -This was the view!
Litlefjellet, Norwegian for ‘Little Mountain’, is the name of the center mountain. Plus, we found the iconic pond that perfectly reflects the whole scene.

I've just realised that my current location near Muscat is about 23km North of the Tropic of Cancer.

I've also just worked out that at the next summer solstice (09:24UTC) the sun will be about 450km to the west of me somewhere over the UAE.

Dhank is the nearest Omani town close to the Tropic of Cancer.

For some reason I feel this is significant and that I should be planning to do something at that time.

All the essential ingredients to kick-start #life as we know it have now been found in samples from the #asteroid #Bennu.

Asteroids could have delivered all the prerequisites for life to Earth – and perhaps elsewhere.

In 2020, OSIRIS-REx mission extracted samples from Bennu, an asteroid that was orbiting the #sun between Mars and Jupiter, and returned the samples to Earth in 2023.

Since then, small amounts of the 121 grams collected have been sent out to labs across the globe for analysis, so specialists in detecting each type of biological compound could set to work.

The first studies revealed the presence of #water, #carbon and several organic molecules. Next came the detection of amino acids, formaldehyde and all five of the nucleobases found in #RNA and #DNA, as well as phosphates.

However, this isn’t quite enough to put together the molecules that carry genetic information.

Now, scientists have revealed the presence of #ribose, as well as other sugars, including lyxose, xylose, arabinose, glucose and galactose.

Well my OTHER #sun ultra 10 just died. I now have two machines that will power on, but the power LED stays off, and no display ever comes.

Before that started to happen it complained about the IDPROM contents being wrong, so I followed a guide to re-create the contents and allow my ultra 10 to boot. The "power led won't come on" problem started then.

Does anyone know how to get this unstuck? I need at least one to work for my #sunpci #DOScember video!
