Photo of me taking photo of waterfall in other pic. I am seen at a great distance away at the bottom of a steep rock formation that I scrambled down to take the pic. The waterfall is not in this view, which is why I climbed down to get a full view of the waterfall for the photo on the left. Photo by Lori H.

Back to summertime, and this colour photo shows the ravine through which the river flows, downstream from the waterfall. Tall hills are surrounding the canyon on the far side, which are covered in grass and scree. The top of another waterfall is just visible further along the gulley.

Another shot of the same waterfall, this time in winter. The face of the falls is now frozen almost solid, large icicles have formed and are covered with a dusting of snow. The river approaching the crest is surfaced with ice which has been hidden beneath a layer of snow, dark rock is still visible but is heavily iced.
