Reflecting

Following the coastline along Ísafjarðardjúp, we stopped for coffee and to look for seals on the skerries.

We waited for the rain to stop before we left the car, and we were greeted by this gorgeous rainbow over the fjord.

We could see it's reflection in the still water, and a sharp eye can catch a ghostly double, just visible on the right.

Sometimes it takes a lot of time and effort to find something interesting, work to find the right angle.

Today was not one of those days. It seemed as if I could just point the camera anywhere and release the shutter, then there was a good image more.

Today it seemed as if anything was a subject, but on the other hand, no subject stood out. What I'm trying to say is probably, that it can be difficult to capture the beauty and mood.

All the images is from today, most from the ski trip. Walking on ski here has the limitation, that it is almost impossible to leave the track, because the snow is too deep and loose, to be able to walk on. That puts an limitation on the compositions possible.

We finally got some sun, blue sky now and then. The temperature was -18C when I returned from the walk
