Good morning! I’m currently at Beaverton High School in OR where a mass student walk out has just started to demand a proactive ICE protocol for their school and district.

Students say that similar walkouts were planned at multiple other high schools, including Aloha, Sunset, Southridge & more.

One students says they want the district to collaborate with neighboring districts that have implemented more proactive plans, and to coordinate community response plans for when there are reports of ice activity on/nearby school grounds.

Other schools in neighboring districts have connected with rapid response networks. Students say that there are already teams like this organized in the area and ready to work together

Zines are cool, and @404mediaco is making one about the surveillance technologies used by ICE.

"It will be 16 pages and printed on a risograph printer by a printshop in Los Angeles. It contains both reworked versions of our best reporting on ICE and some new articles for the zine. It will be available at the beginning of January."

A church member at Urban Village Church sent this one along, where Mary, Joseph and Jesus are gone and replaced with a sign that reads: “Due to ICE activity in our community, the Holy Family is in hiding.”

Now having seen the simplicity of making friends with crows, I think we in the #PacificNorthwest should train our crows to come and get dog treats every time we blow our #ICE whistles, so that when something is going down the agents are unnerved by the sudden, ominous appearance of a murder of crows.

EDIT: There are roughly twenty thousand crows in #Portland.
