Finally...

We tried to visit these gorgeous waterfalls in October 2016 and in November 2021. Even in a 4WD vehicle we were forced to turn back - safety always comes first. The dirt road to this magical place is hazardous, to say the least, and we were frustrated by the icy conditions.

Not this time.

Klifbrekkufossar, a tiered plunge falls with 7 drops and a total height of 90m/295ft. Mjóifjörður, eastern #Iceland.

A colour photo of a set of waterfalls dropping through a mossy green hillside. The hill face is stepped and rocky and the water is white with foam. A river is running away from it at the base. There is a person in a yellow coat standing by the riverside, lending scale. The sky is grey and overcast.
