I uploaded on Archive the three volumes of a weird lil Italian thing, a 1995 interactive Myst-like "virtual magazine/megastore", an early attempt at a sort of online shop.
While understanding Italian is required for the catalogues etc, navigation can be enjoyed even without the language.

There's also a #SRU library for Python, a bit less elaborate than #scythe for OAI. It's called sruthi (https://github.com/metaodi/sruthi). One drawback is that you have to handle iterative searchretrieve calls yourself. Still, using the library makes querying an SRU API a bit less verbose.
