@Tutanota Could you please inform someone on the technical teams, that Outlook.com is blocking pretty much all of Tuta's sending IP's. Perhaps do some tricks to get yourselves off the block list(s) they use.

Anyone have any experience with @Tutanota?
I created an account while on VPN and was told they needed to manually approve my account because people try to abuse their system using VPN.
Totally understand that. I was patient. Days later they denied me. Not with a notification, but by simply closing the account. Never even got to use it.
#atkjuttuja #BoycottUSA

I have started using @Tutanota and I am pretty satisfied with it except for a big issue, which might be a big barrier for many people.
You cannot import email unless you buy the Legendary subscription. I bought Revolutionary, and what a surprise!
I have to say now, if you go to Pricing in the website, there is no mention to that. In fact, when you try to import (only possible in the desktop app) you get an invitation to change to Legend, with the same information, so you cannot say what is happening. If you go to the help center (Support), there is no information in the Import sections about the account level.
In fact, I'm currently unable to find the page where Tuta explains that by the moment only Legend accounts can import email.
I totally understand that migrating accounts can be an important overhead for Tuta now. I also see email importing like a critical feature. It should be included in all paid subscriptions. Maybe limiting the migration size or rate, but it should be present.
And, in any case, it should be clearly stated in all the help pages. Now I have an odd and not very positive feeling about Tuta, like this company was hidding very relevant information when offering their products. I'd like to import my old emails, but I really do not need the Legendary subscription. Indeed, I might accept paying an entry price enabling me to migrate my old account.
I have to say, you need to take care of the help system too. For instance, in the "forward email" section, you show links with further information about activating email forwarding from different providers, but these pages are only comparisons between Tuta and the other providers, there is no explanation about email forwarding.

Age verification laws are being introduced everywhere - including, Florida. 🔞🇺🇸
For Joseph, not knowing his own state had introduced age verification, was the final push he needed to take action and do something. So he started the Miami Tech Enthusiast Club @mtec
Don't miss this interview with him to find out why he started the club, its aims & goals, & why he chose Tuta Mail. 💪🔐

Super grateful to @Tutanota for sharing our experience of trying to bring digital rights advocacy to a local level!
Tuta Mail has been the secure, reliable foundation from which we could build this group! Important that we started on the right foot.

@Viss @scottwilson Yes, we are. 😊 Import is in beta so it's currently only available under the Legend plan, here's more info> https://tuta.com/support#mail-import
❌ New Year, New Me ❌
✅️ New DIDay, Better Privacy ✅️
For the first #DigitalIndependanceDay of this year: Share which of these Big Tech apps you replaced & with what!
#NewYearNewMe #PrivacyMatters #DIDay #DigitalIndependenceDay
OS: daily driving #Linux for ~2 years.
Email: #Proton for ~6 years, #Tuta for ~1 year (recently switched my business to Tuta)
Password Manager: Proton Pass for most things. Self hosted #Bitwarden for my homeland stuff.
Search: Used #DuckDuckGo and #StartPage for a long time but recently moved to a self hosted instance of #SearXNG
I decided my first post on this server should be my @ente Privacy Pack!
Two things are missing:
1) I use @elementary but that's not an available option; I'll open a PR for it soon
2) my phone (Mudita Kompakt) uses a custom OS made specifically for the device
You can make your pack here

Switzerland plans surveillance worse than US
Revision of Swiss surveillance law VÜPF would directly target VPN & encrypted chat and email providers based in Switzerland.

Decided to switch to @Tutanota today after trying a few different services out.
The app feels the most responsive out of the ones i tried and the subscription doesn't cost much either, and it's nice to support them financially to help further development. #tutamail #tuta #tutanota #secureemail
Lately I’ve been realizing that I probably made a (small but important) mistake when choosing Proton Mail over @Tutanota Mail.
I truly respect and like both European companies, but what I’ve been noticing, and deeply appreciating, is how strong, healthy, and direct the relationship between Tuta and its users is. They communicate, they discuss, they listen.
It actually reminds me a lot of the @Vivaldi browser team, including @jon himself. And that kind of attitude is priceless, especially when it’s combined with such a clear stance on privacy & security, AI, and user-first values. That combination is simply top-tier.
I recently noticed Vivaldi starting some cooperation with Proton. Personally, I’d much rather see a collaboration with Tuta.
Rooting for you. Rooting for both teams (actually all three). Absolutely fantastic work.

Big Tech's love to preach "privacy this" & "privacy that" but in reality they track & collect your data.
Today we take a look at what privacy washing is, and why companies like #Gmail & #Facebook use it to gain your trust 👉 https://tuta.com/blog/big-tech-privacy-washing
@Tutanota Nice awareness. Although I have been using #Disroot as my primary mail service provider since 2018 (just after OpenMailBox was sold), I have recently added #Tuta as a secondary. (Recommendations from https://www.fsf.org/resources/webmail-systems)
Btw, I have been using #K9Mail (becoming #Thunderbird now) since a decade on my Android phone.
I have found that Tuta is not supporting IMAP/SMTP protocols and hence I will have to install Tuta's Android application. How does it works without these protocols?
