So besides the roses 👆🏽 that kid2 made (those were easier and quicker apparently), she wanted to try and make (yellow and white) ipê flowers that grow in Brazil where one of the profs/performers is from. She looked up pics and made some. Turned out nice!
Then she made a bunch of others - and put together in 5 bunches/bouquets to take to the performance today and give out.

A year ago, I saw someone open a book lamp in a bar. It was a pretty expensive product. Since I combine electronics and paper crafting, I had to DIY it and develop an easy-to-use circuit template and instructions for it. This educational project is perfect for libraries. Please #retoot :-)

Been a while since Kid2 worked on any paper #FlowerArt
She started back up a day ago to get ready for a weekend classical music concert by profs at the univ she went to for a summer workshop. She wants to have small bunches for the performers.
Here - the roses are all done!
(Can't wait to see how the other flowers will turn out)

More #FlowerArt by kid2. Too cold in the basement so just a small area in her room that's the workspace. Saw her yesterday making lots of these tiny paper cuts on a small strip of yellow paper - turns out they were for the middle.

Doing some more work on the papercraft miniatures for the second adventure location of my solo miniatures RPG "Fable on your Table" (second edition).

This set introduces outdoor battles, and I think the papercraft terrain and enemies are starting to look pretty good.

This time, I remembered to time myself. Each miniature takes only about two minutes to score, cut out, and assemble. Not bad!

So... @thegiddystitcher made me join Mastodon and I have no idea what I am doing 🙃

I am a crafter and collector of hobbies. My obsessions include #sewing #embroidery #miniatures #crochet all sorts of #papercraft learning to #knit and I may have started loom #weaving. All in all, I am at my happiest when I can learn a new craft or connect with like minded folk.

Although I work in tech, I really dislike algorithms choosing what I see online.

I'm starting a series of 10 posts to introduce my work to everyone here. Please #retoot 🤗
My first paper circuit project was this anglerfish. I modeled it in Blender, printed templates using Pepakura, and used conductive tape for "wiring". It lights up with an RGB LED and a button cell. This anglerfish still hangs in my room, giving me nightmares 😅. Lots of fun, but also lots of work.
