Doing some more work on the papercraft miniatures for the second adventure location of my solo miniatures RPG "Fable on your Table" (second edition).

This set introduces outdoor battles, and I think the papercraft terrain and enemies are starting to look pretty good.

This time, I remembered to time myself. Each miniature takes only about two minutes to score, cut out, and assemble. Not bad!

A papercraft scene of a group of three adventurers – a mage, an archer, and a templar – emerging into a forest scene where a drake and some carnivorous plant tendrils are active. In the scene are some stones, trees, and grass.

I reminisce about the time I met game designer Al Leonardi at my first game convention way back in 1985. The driving force behind the #AceOfAces and #LostWorlds “combat picture book games” passed away on July 12.

Picture of the corner of a magazine with a head-and-shoulders black-and-white photo of game designer Al Leonardi in 1981 (with bits of the interview text in two corners). He’s a smiling, clean-shaven fellow with thinning hair and a pen clipped to the neck of his t-shirt.
