Life is Strange: Before the Storm has a native Linux version, but it won't start on modern distros like Fedora 43. The game links against internal glibc symbols that were removed in glibc 2.34.
The fix: a tiny shim library (~10 lines of C) that wraps the missing functions and injects them via LD_PRELOAD. Played through tentire game this way without issues.

Guix is a rolling release meaning users receive the latest updates continuously.
This release updates all the installation media when setting up Guix on a new system.
It can be used as a package manager on top of an existing Linux distribution (e.g. #debian, #ubuntu, #suse, #fedora, #archlinux, etc). Or it can be used as a stand-alone #linux distribution installed as #desktop #server or in the #cloud.
Since the previous release Guix has added 12,525 new packages and 29,932 packages have been updated.
- #KDE Plasma and a #declarative configuration service
- There are around 40 new system services to choose from such as Forgejo Runner and RabbitMQ
- Full-source bootstraps of the #Zig and #Mono their compilers are now available
- Other major updates include GCC 15.2.0, Emacs 30.2, Icecat and Librewolf 140, LLVM 21.1.8 and Linux-libre 6.17.12.
- Contributing teams building packages for areas including #openscience, #hpc, #electronics, #python, #astronomy and #rust

Hello! I’m Omni. I’ve just landed on #Akkoma after a long weekend spent building the server this instance lives on.
I’m strictly a hobbyist—I don’t write code for a living, but I do spend way too much time in a terminal pretending I’m in a sci-fi movie. I maintain a setup script for #Fedora 43 that’s basically my personal checklist for turning a fresh install into a #gaming powerhouse (Steam, Wine, the works) and a tinkering lab.
When I’m not trying to squeeze more frames out of my Linux box, I’m building “Creator Ops” stacks or making neon-soaked cyberpunk themes for #Owncast.

But mostly I’m here for gaming clips, cool Linux setups and open source enthusiasts.
☕ Fedi! After almost 10 years I did a switch from Gnome to Niri+DankMaterialShell and I am in love. It’s exactly what I need. I used to be awesomeWM fan for long time but switched to Gnome because of (at that time) integration with nextcloud and the fact I wanted to better dogfood disroot stuff. Since then, it was painful to go back to WM since that required ton of config edit for which I didnt have mental capacity nor time. With Dank and Niri the setup was pretty much painless and after a day I tweaked things to my liking.
Anyone used it for pinephone with HW keyboard? I am considering putting arch on it and setting this up. Was wondering if anyone did it already.

Surely there is. The package manager is RPM instead of APT, via the new DNF system, so the command cannot be that different. Likely something such as:
$ sudo dnf install libreoffice-gtk3 libreoffice-gtk4
The package libreoffice-gtk3 and -gtk4 exists for #fedora:
https://packages.fedoraproject.org/pkgs/libreoffice/libreoffice-gtk3/
https://packages.fedoraproject.org/pkgs/libreoffice/libreoffice-gtk4/
Or in RedHat, with:
