@thejapantimes I hope #Japan can produce enough rice, and for people in Japan to live #life compassionately so there’s less fear and more cooperation during times of greater struggle.

#Pesticides can have unforeseen consequences on workers, consumers, and environment.

Three alternatives that I believe could mitigate these issues are sacrificial crops that attract the pest to other #plants, banker plants in conservation strips, and habitat management for other non-insect pest predators.
