I went down a rabbit hole looking for the Cherokee name for this plant, the Broadleaf Arrowhead or duck potato (seen on my walk yesterday). It’s widespread and was used by many Indigenous peoples. It has an edible tuber.

It covers the whole process of creating and publishing the Tradescantia cultivar checklist, and acts as the official publication of some of the names that hadn't been established yet. This is the conclusion of about four years of work, so I'm really proud that it's finally out there.

Okay, every time I try to use a web search I understand why so many people ask ChatGPT, but I would much rather #askFedi 😊 this one's mostly for gardeners: what are some good plant sources of phosphorus? Specific plants or specific parts of plants (the only things I found so far are new shoots and fruit, but I don't have tomatoes to give to the plants I'm trying to help grow tomatoes lol)
