«Leugt», brûlant film de jeunesse de Raoul Peck

Alors qu’il étudie le #cinéma à #Berlin, #RaoulPeck filme une visite de #RonaldReagan dans la capitale allemande en 1982, dans un brillant exercice de déconstruction de la parole politique. À voir sur Mediapart à partir de ce samedi, en partenariat avec Tënk.

Compare this to #Amsterdam, where 7% of space is allocated for micromobility, and large parts of #Berlin, where 8% is set aside.

The authors conclude Montreal could double the space allocated to bike lanes (still just 3%) with no impact on automobile traffic flow.

Hosting an overdrive pedal soldering workshop next Sunday, August 30, at Pedal Markt in Berlin Neukölln.

The pedal is a color and texture device. With different clipping and brightness options it can act as a boost, an overdrive or a distortion. It stacks well with other pedals, responds to your playing and is a classy beast all around!

advert but I'm not getting paid for it

One of my favorite restaurants in #Berlin is at risk of shutting down for financial reasons and they really need more people going there, so I want to advertise it a bit.

The restaurant is called Kanaan and it is both Palestinian and Israeli. It was founded by two friends (one Palestinian and the other Israeli) and heavily advocates for peace in the region. The kitchen crew is very diverse, it's really queer friendly, and the food is amazing.

It's not a cheap place to go to eat, but for that money (33€ for one person with 12 small courses) you're getting something that already skirts the line towards fine dining for a price that is a fifth to a tenth of what you'd pay at a michelin star restaurant.

So, if you can afford that, and if it seems like something you would want to support, please go there as soon as you can.
In heavily polarized times like these, where people act like you cannot care for the lives of Palestinians while also caring about Israelis, and vice versa, I think a place like this is needed more than ever.

Edit: forgot to mention: the restaurant is very vegan friendly. If I remember correctly, it is entirely vegetarian, but you can get the menu vegan as well, which I've done when I was there before
