A common noob trap for art is thinking you should get the biggest set of colored pencils or watercolors you can. A dozen colors is actually enough for anyone, but it really matters which twelve. After trying out some nice watercolor pencils, I decided I liked them, but the colors in the box set weren’t good for me. I went to the art store to buy several individual ones to swap out.
A dozen colors that suit your personal expression and blend well together will give your art more identity than having a set of 72 pencils to pull you every which way

Narrow Fjord
This lovely place is easy to overlook as you plan your journey along the east coast of Iceland. There are very few buildings, the road is pot-holed dirt, and the gradients max out at 18%.
Visit on a day when the weather is being kind, with cloud shadows chasing across the mountain faces and the sun at its 30° meridian, and you're rewarded with this astonishing landscape. It's easy to imagine elves and trolls living here.

The existence of a mathematical model doesn't take that away. The model only explains the effects of people's tendencies and choices. It doesn't dictate them.
@hosford42 hmm, i am not sure what you mean by mathematical model. I very much imagine having even just a few links between echo chambers that can communicate issues across even if its just indirectly, might trigger highly complex dynamics - ...i guess kind of like the buttferly causing a thunderstorm.
I think that is also really needed, because just having echo chambers can potentially leqd to conflict escalations nobody benefits from.

Astonishing, really, that £150+ million is not enough to conduct a study that if you put a 2-lane dedicated cycle way between car parking and a promenade, people *will* treat it as a pavement.
Portsmouth Council learned nothing from doing exactly that at the eastern 2km of Southsea seafront, so they’ve done the same thing again at the western 2km.

Don't get me wrong, I tried to figure it out. Like thinking a prom king and queen could "represent" me if I gave them money for their costumes. I'd get invited to gilded EFF parties in SF and they would say "oh hey there guy who we only sort of totally disagree with, nice you could cross the aisle, want some corporate koolaid from our Google sponsored fridge, or maybe a corporate sedative from the Facebook sponsored snackbar?"
Morgan literally and loudly called me out at a party as "other side". Ouch. That was right before he was embroiled in widespread allegations of sex crimes. Touche EFF "anarchists" who amass fame, funding and followers, touche. Sometimes I wonder if he's going to show up in the Trump white house.
Another time I had to be the odd guy out at their big round table of Snowden puffery and promotion. They made everyone give a comment. I hesitated, awkward. No thanks. They insisted. Be honest, be open. Ok, fine, he's a self-promoting know-nothing piece of shit, no whistleblower. So they promoted him even harder and more. Other side, indeed.

I’ve not been as closely exposed to them as you, but I’ve had a similar reaction. They talk a lot about their work on privacy, which I agree with, but they seem to have the typical US view that problem is not oppression in general, but simply that oppression is more efficiently handled by the private sector and the government should stay out of it.

In a recent attempt to clean up my studio, I found a color study of crystals done for RHYTHM OF WAR. The obvious direction would have been to add a Stormlight character, but I didn't think about that. I hadn’t painted a spaceship in far too long and felt the pull of the stars.
