A common sight in Quebec, the fallen glove that has been placed on a fence post in hopes that its owner will find it when they pass by again. A sign of optimism and good will towards strangers.

A round street drain as reflected by the water inside. The round grate is divided into a half circle withe long rounded rectangles. In the center there is a hole and you can see the round rectangle of a phone held so the lens is centered within, pointing down for the photo. The water reflecting all of this is mostly smooth at top half of frame, while it gets more rippled the further down we go, most likely a small pipe is dripping water in that corner. Outside, above the drain are some green leaves from a nearby tree, the sky is mostly white, just a tint of blue in the lower left.

my neighbors haven't taken down their sidewalk-archway holiday lights so this is a view walking down the sidewalk at dusk with rainbow colored sparkly lights, a streetlight, and a leafy tree overhead

On a whim, I walked up a small hillside to see the trees at the top, and look what I found!

A thick crusty tree trunk in the sun, dotted with bits of lichen, and with some tiny mushrooms growing out of a deep crack. They are small capped mushrooms with slender stems, wilted and frozen. One is frozen sideways in a way that gives us a view of the gills.
