We are getting more and more questions about using Vivaldi inside larger organizations.
There is an understanding that relying on Big Tech is a bad idea and Vivaldi has a lot of unique features, but also avoids adding certain functionality that is unwanted both by users and organizations. There is no AI built into Vivaldi, no profiling of users and no Crypto currencies.
We are adding functionality for managed deployment and updates, as well as policy management.

Snagged a new set of paints today and painted this 😊 I think this is going to go well. 🎨
5 weeks into watercolour… I’m so proud of myself for trying to find my creativity again! #art #watercolor #painting #learning

I just watched a 20 minute video summarizing how Meta spoilt life-changing technology for the visually impaired, and is hell-bent to go deeper into creepy territory. It is from the channel "House of El". Here's the vid's description:
> Meta’s AI-powered Ray-Ban glasses could transform everyday life for blind and visually impaired people, translating text, recognising faces and describing the world in real time. Instead, covert filming, privacy scandals, courtroom bans and reports that Meta is testing glasses without a recording light have turned a potentially life-changing invention into a symbol of surveillance and distrust. This is how Meta took one of the most promising wearable AI products ever created and gave the world “pervert glasses.”
Google is now buying access to source code repositories to train their LLMs. This puts the value of the code they previously stole from the open-source community into a whole new perspective.
🌍 We just got back from Dweb Camp, hosted by the Internet Archive in the German forest — and what a gathering.
Alongside @commonsnetwork @goteo_fund and friends across the Fediverse, we presented the Democratic Tech Fund prototype and ran sessions on governance, P2P financing, and community-owned social spaces.

I was talking to @technostructures and @michael at #dwebcamp about the idea of having a bridge-a-thon, some sort of in person event where people who are working on bridging open protocols could explore the potential primitives together.
Vegan friends, what/who finally got you to #beVegan?
For me, it was Daisy, our last rescue bun. Fourteen years ago. 🐰✨💚
@otterX for me it was being on holiday in Spain where vegan options were easier to come by ( I was living in France). I'd wanted to go vegan for ages but in 2018 in Spain I did it and then continued when I went back to France (although with greater difficulty)
Great after #dwebcamp barbeque at @cbase tonight in Berlin.
Again so many nice talks about #decentralized networks and #open #protocols together with @berlinfediday & @matrix
1/ Don't read too much into Vučić's visit to Kyiv. "Vucic said he was the only summit participant who did not sign the joint declaration to continue political, military, financial, and security support to Ukraine and step up pressure on Russia." The EU expects the candidate countries to align themselves with EU foreign policy, and has repeatedly called on Serbia to do so.⬇️

Back in LA after #DwebCamp in Alte Hölle; migrating now to #Fediverse 👋 please welcome my #introduction
My middle name comes from 新 (new) 泳 (swimming); why? because my work is to bridge cultures and open ways of thinking; we've got to move some rocks to let the waters flow & just keep swimming~
Trained as a documentary filmmaker, now designing multimodal systems for interdisciplinary studies ( #obsidian and #knowledgegraphs ); & currently catching up with #examprep for my PhD #studywithme #undercommons #autofiction #storytime
SPOTTED: Did you know? Palantir's grounding ideologies actually derived from Frankfurt school pedagogy. How leftist cultural theory could become co-opted into a techno-fascist moral catastrophe signals toward the limits of interpretive method. You'll always find me gravitating toward #reparative approaches to education, arts, urban science, technology, etc. and in dialogue across sectors #letstalk
Initial stages of fun with Guix just acting like it's Homebrew. I can get fancy or maybe try understanding things later.
