Cuban Café, Cuba, New Mexico. An early-1960s #AtomicAge roadside sign. This "Googie" style has been disappearing throughout the southwest as neon and hand-built steel give way to LED boxes, earwax-colored boxes and corporate fonts. I started this in Fresco and finished it in #watercolor and Copic markers, and it is the first in a new series for the Desert Southwest section of Notes from the Road, hoping to share the passion to preserve.

I wasn't thrilled with this yesterday, but now that it's dried, I think it came out pretty well.

About a year ago I started dumping dirty paint water (watercolors! not acrylics or oils) into my houseplants, and holy cats they absolutely love it. My rubber plant (closest to my desk and so a frequent recipient) was so spindly and sad before this, and now it's taller than I am and has been furiously making new leaves all winter.

Hello folks, I'm lemon cosmos (they/them) 🍋🪐 I'm a german, non-binary gamedev by hobby and trade. I work as a game programmer but am a solodev generalist most of the time! I love making silly/unusual/yummy games that you wanna tell your friends about :)
