If I'm going into the Norwegian mountains this summer, I better work on improving my cardio. I've always hated doing the typical forms of cardio (running, HITT) mainly because it always felt like I was too fat and out of shape to do it, so I'm trying to find something I will stick with for at least 6 months. I also don't like going to the gym because every gym I've been to is full if very fit, very thin people who make me feel bad about my body (and they make me pay for that privilege).
But this morning I set out to the park across the road from where we live where there are quite tall stairs and I just walked up and down the stairs for 10 minutes. It got my heart racing and my blood pumping so that counts as cardio and I hope that the stair ascent snd descent will help strengthen the muscles needed for hiking in the mountains. 10 minutes felt like an eternity but I'm going to stick with it as I have a goal of being able to easily do it for an hour in 6 months.
Listening to ATEEZ while doing it was fun too. #kpop is great for workouts.
