Occasionally, I have shown reindeer lichens such as the Grey Reindeer lichen (Cladonia rangiferina).
This time, I am showing this lichen in its very rare fertile form with tiny apothecia. Hard to find and there are hardly any photos of this kind on the internet.

Purple Jellydiscs (Ascocoryne sarcoides) and Yellow Fairy Cups (Calycina citrina)
Lot's of small bright lemon-yellow cups growing on hardwood, sharing the log with immature Purple Jellydiscs, which look like slimy pink clubs. They're all less than 1cm wide.
Big slimy pink-purple gelatinous disc in between loads of of immature specimen. Not too different from raw tuna or the inside of your lip. Growing on hardwood.

That was worth getting up at fuck o'clock on a Saturday. Two SD cards full should provide some decent frosty crystal balls for the upcoming #ArtAdventCalendar.
