I left Antarctica only a week ago and it already feels far away and a long time ago.

But even here I can enjoy the fascination of atmospheric physics.

It's extremely cold in Scandinavia and we have diamond dust during the day too.

I left Antarctica only a week ago and it already feels far away and a long time ago.

But even here I can enjoy the fascination of atmospheric physics.

A wooden footbridge across a section of inner harbour, Aarhus, Denmark. Swirling clumps of white pancake ice cover the water below it. On the far side, warm light glows from the safe haven of Dokk1 Aarhus Main Library, a striking four-storey modern geometric waterfront building. The sky is cold grey with hints of sunset orange. The masts of two anchored ships can be seen off to the left. As ways to walk into your local library go, this one is reasonably storybooky, I think.
