One of my all time photography heroes and an amazing photojournalist is Martin Parr.
I was so happy to find, whilst visiting Bristol Museum and Art Gallery today that there was a Martin Parr exhibit taking place.
Great to see some of Martin's work from previous Bristol Prides, especially as it's Pride 2025 here tomorrow.

@LukeOrion and I are both very grateful to be inside during the heat today. We started to get in touch with somebody about a RV trade for something smaller and more reliable.
We're hoping to be able to keep staying at this motel until we can work out a trade, due to the issues we've been having with our current RV making it sketchy to drive. We need to raise ~$80 by 11am to stay in our room another night. We also still need food.

US embassies aren’t allowed to fly pride flags. So, the US embassy in Mexico, got a giant flag made with a photo pride flag that says “Ceci n’est pas un drapeau de la fiere”
Which is a reference to the infamous French painting where an artist painted a pipe, and below that, in French wrote the words “this is not a pipe” “Ceci n’est pas un pipe”
The one in Mexico translates as “this is not a pride flag“ 🏳️🌈

Hello fedi. My partner @LukeOrion and I are a disabled trans couple in need of support. We have a current goal of $300 that we are trying to raise right now. That goal includes covering a couple more nights in this motel and covering food, meds, and other necessities for us for the next couple days.
About 3 months ago we escaped homelessness by being able to crowdfund for an old RV, which we proceeded to move into and to live full time. Unfortunately, we’ve ended up running into repeated mechanical issues with the RV that make it unsafe to drive anything other than fairly short distances at this point. On top of the mechanical issues, the generator and plumbing both don’t work. We have made a FB marketplace listing for the RV looking to trade it for something not just more functional, but smaller and less stressful to try and drive. Until then, we would appreciate being able to stay sheltered with access to running water and electricity. Especially because Luke needs power to do their digital art commissions as a source of income. We were stuck on a mountain road for a week recently due to issues with the RV. We spent almost all of what little savings we had gathered to get a mechanic to come to us, only to still need to community source additional help to be able to get off the mountain.

No help so far today. REALLY hoping we can raise at least enough (~$75) to be able to stay another night in the motel. Tomorrow is supposed to be around 100 degrees (F) and without electrical hookup there's no air conditioning in the RV. For our safety, I really hope we can avoid having to be in there tomorrow and be able to stay inside.
