I want everyone to know or at least consider:

Being "out of someone's league" or "too old" is not a thing.

Those are toxic ideas that are being pushed on all of us in order to keep us anxious, sow division (read: destroy solidarity), condition us to aspire to uniformly and arbitrarily (read: decided by the bigoted bourgeoisie) "good", youthful looks only while the importance of good values/character is being replaced by corporate propaganda that encourages nihilism and shalowness.

One of my face studies when I was learning to paint in Procreate in 2023, this time with pastel brushes. I was studying the lighting and getting familiar with color and texture.

This jay kept trying to get onto the feeder, but it was too heavy and it would almost tip the feeder over. Then it seemed to figure out that if it landed hard enough, the feeder would tip enough to spill the seeds onto the ground, where it could then chase away the Mourning doves and eat the seeds. I mostly just liked the blurred colors in the background.

Look at my porch. It's pretty and cozy and I really, really love it. It's an endless source of joy for me in a world where joy is hard to come by, and with my health being what it currently is, I've put a lot of energy into making it nice because I spend so much time at home. There are more upgrades to come, some new plants to replace the ones that died in winter and shade pannels to block the sun, but this is what it looks like right now.

I did do some #beekeeping. Moved the swarm into the nuc, cut off a flower for my mom while it was cold and wet and probably without ants, had dinner, moved #6 egg chick into the brooder, had some strawberries on velvet poundcake, took a frame of brood out of a hive in case the nuc doesn't have a queen which it seemed like and if it does there's like 5 queen cells ready to hatch that she can fight on that 1 frame, made some bee food, and put the bait hive back in the tree.

Just to be clear … Trump flew to Beijing, China, to deliver a white surrender flag personally.

Trump didn’t gain a single thing for America. He and his billionaire entourage left China after strengthening the position of Xi Jinping and putting America in a far weaker spot than when he had flown to Beijing.

America would have remained in a stronger position economically and diplomatically if Trump had just stayed home and golfed.

The interesting thing about the "They won't let that happen" people is that they were doing what they always do, counting on Progressives to hold the line, to protect what few rights and programs that keep people alive and sane that still exists, while simultaneously voting out the people they expect to protect their interests.
