@marick Thank you for sharing this! I teach a short intro to PhilMath in my intro to PhilSci course, but only mention Peirce in relation to 'abduction' (inference to the best explanation), and hadn't come across or wondered about his views on mathematics, so really cool to get a glimpse. Will need to read a bit more about him!
@SylviaFysica It just so happens my current retirement project is to translate Peirce into a style more readable today and less full of tangents. First up was “Illustrations of the Logic of Science,” a series of six essays that works up to what Peirce had not yet named abduction.
