That imperiled the rule of law that has long assured all Americans impartial & fair #justice.
Later, the desperate desire of AG #MerrickGarland & President Joe #Biden to avoid any appearance of #partisanship led the #DOJ to put off looking into #evidence of a *potential* #crime & gave #Trump an advantage that few appreciated at the time. Garland’s delays softened the ground & would eventually help Trump remake the #Justice Department into his own cudgel.
