Ces cinq derniers mois à Paris, quatre cyclistes sont morts percutés par des poids lourds. Dernière victime en date, une femme de 29 ans, décédée jeudi 19 février. Depuis 2005, 74 personnes sont mortes à vélo du fait de véhicules motorisés, 47 hommes et 27 femmes. Ces dernières ont presque toutes (24 sur 27) été tuées par des poids lourds, contre seulement 17 hommes sur 47. Presque à chaque fois, c’est le même scénario : un chauffeur de camion tourne à droite sans regarder et percute sa victime.

@tomshardware As a retired, 15-year COBOL programmer for a Canadian bank, I can virtually guarantee any use of AI to modify existing COBOL code in any significant way will lead to disastrous results. Online COBOL code (as opposed to batch or offline code that runs overnight and produces reports) is especially brittle and easily broken when handled by an “answer-guessing bot.”
I remember when I was learning #COBOL, back on the earthen floor in the monastery school for orphans. The old monk said "COBOL was designed so EXECUTIVES could read code".
Since AI passed a corpo executive in capability in 1874 , I think we will be all right ! 😁

My child Ahmad is suffering terribly from the virus and severe infections in his body 💔 Every moment he cries in pain breaks my heart, and I cannot do anything to ease it. So far, we haven’t been able to raise £370 for his urgent treatment, and every passing minute could be more dangerous for him.
