From the @euobserver: "Greenland 'not alone' EU top diplomat says after X storm"
That's one of the reasons why the campaign focuses on politicians. We are fed up with media outlets having to rely on X as their source of political communication.

I decided to create an award for our MEPs who can persuade their peers to leave X. I will mention it to those to whom I send an email asking them to leave X.

Thanks to @zollak, we updated the status of ten MEPs! Now, we have 421 more politicians to persuade to leave X, which is a decrease from 60% to 59%.
Can we get that number below 50% before spring?
Contact the MEPs using our tool https://leavex.eu/politicians/
We should keep track of how many politicians left X by either stating it or deleting their accounts.
"These actors either lack awareness or are amoral"
"In their current cost/benefit analysis, there’s benefit, but no cost."
"They think they’re communicating with 'their audience', but they’re communicating with an amoral elite, with trolls and with bots."

We are very well aware of the fact that X for Grok is now offering a spicy mode showing explicit sexual content with some output generated with childlike images:
📌 A detailed request for information on Grok has been sent to X, and we are reviewing the company’s responses.
📌 X has been ordered to retain all internal documents and data concerning Grok’s features until the end of 2026.
The Digital Services Act is very clear:
In the EU, all platforms have to get their own house in order.
@EUCommission but we still have too many of the members of the European Parliament are using actively X
@Saramo @kingconsult @bartgroothuis @manuelaripa @ilumium @erikkemp @HennaVirkkunen This is music to my ears. Thank you!
Now we have at least one MEP who supports leaving that hostile foreign actor that undermines democracy with distorted algorithms and wants the downfall of our union.

@leanderlindahl @kingconsult @bartgroothuis @manuelaripa @ilumium @erikkemp @HennaVirkkunen Yes, very good Henna! All EU bodies should immediately leave x and consider continuing on meta platforms.

You can now copy email addresses of selected MPs on Leave X.
If politicians claim to defend democracy, they shouldn’t stay on a platform that actively undermines it.

@everton137 Agree to a certain point.
The Iranian activists and contacts use twitter. Yes, they could move, but they have bigger problems. How else do we hear from them?
About Europeans, Americans, and Brazilians, politicians and journalists specially, I agree.
@pait I hear you. Still, at some point, we must ask ourselves if "staying informed" has become a passive consumption of horror optimized for engagement rather than change.
For politicians and journalists in Europe, the US, or Brazil, staying on the platform feels less like a necessity and more like a convenience.
We have made the stats of members of the European parliament (MEPs) and Dutch MPs fancier.
