Yesterday's surprise #aurora struggling to get through all the high fog. The comet I originally went out to capture did not. But this is a cool consolation prize considering we rarely even get green aurora down here. Stacked image of a few dozen single exposures, which is why the whole thing looks slightly molten.
Yesterday's surprise #aurora struggling to get through all the high fog. The comet I originally went out to capture did not. But this is a cool consolation prize considering we rarely even get green aurora down here. Stacked image of a few dozen single exposures, which is why the whole thing looks slightly molten.
Spent a few days in Cologne with dear friends and visited some spots on the way there (Rhine/Moselle area with focus on history and architecture). This is a lucky shot from an evening stroll in Cochem. Was worth getting drenched through to the bone 5 minutes later.
Last day enjoying this calendar as wallpaper on my second monitor in the office. It's one of my fave shots. Good memory of a nice evening spent with mates.

New instance, new #introduction post!
The time has come for me to move on to this instance much more in line with my interests.
Gone are the many messages that I posted over the last couple of years, but I'm happy to have found a new, more like-minded community to compensate for this migration side effect.
You will find me sharing mostly #LandscapePhotography, #NightPhotography, #MacroPhotography and #BirdPhotography.
I am also interested in #astronomy and #LightPollution.
