Its lighting system can be changed to almost any colour and this is used to mark various events and support various campaigns. In this case, it's lit up purple in support of the UN's global campaign against gender-based violence and to remember the women and children who have died due to domestic abuse.

A secluded alley in Japan…
…Village, in Brooklyn, NY. Japan Village is actually a bustling marketplace occupying two buildings, and this may be the only “secluded alley” it has. It’s a lovely sliver of quiet where I can pretend I’m elsewhere, if just for a moment.
Sharing this as an homage to all the great Japan street photography I see on this app, but have never had the chance to try myself.😊
