This is actually how you know that Trump is unwell and not really capable of being told the truth or understanding teh truth. He said he watched the video. If he watched the video from the shooting, then his summary is clearly off the mark to put it mildly. The only other probability is that he really didnt watch the video but is just parroting whatever someone told him about a "thing" which is what I think it is and what I think it has been for some time now.
I believe they curate EXACTLY what he gets to know and how it is delivered to him. My bet is that is how they control him. They surround him with people parrroting Trumps own agenda to him and when he is in DC they are very careful with what he actually gets to know AND HE IS FINE WITH THIS because they make him feel SMART AND COMPLETELY INFORMED by kissing his ass. Which in his case IS enough. So I seriously feel this perfectly illustrates that Trump lives full time in his dementia induced fantasy land and all the people around him work TIRELESSLY to make sure he only knows what they need him to know. Look what they have talked him into already because he wouldnt be able to come up with all this stuff without someone planting a seed with him which eventually comes to be HIS IDEA.
This is a tell as to how far gone Trump already is.
