#TimWalz has twice mentioned the #protests that followed the #murder of #GeorgeFloyd by a #Minneapolis #police officer in 2020, & lessons learned from that experience. The governor was criticized by some for not mobilizing the #NationalGuard more quickly at the time.

Bob Jacobson, the commissioner of the #Minnesota Dept of #PublicSafety, said a #state law enforcement agency was working with the #FBI to investigate the #shooting.

Tomorrow is the five year anniversery of the start of the George Floyd protests in Seattle.

SPD really picked one hell of away to start the weekend and I can only imagine tomorrow's events may see even higher attendance than expected.
