Finally starting to feel like Christmas…
I didn't get a #tea #Advent calendar this year. Let's see if I can get a full 24 days without repeats out of what I've got in the pantry.
Today's tea is Great British Cuppa left over from my Bird&Blend calendar from two years ago. Since this is day 1, I'm following the instructions, oversteeping and then adding milk for a nice serviceable coffee-tea.
I got this mug from the British Museum gift shop in January. The Rosetta Stone was one of my early inspirations to study linguistics.
Improvised #tea #Advent calendar day 2: Treacle Sponge from the 2023 Bird and Blend calendar. Interesting buttery flavor.
The sun is out, the woodpeckers are drumming to each other on the pipes outside, I have no way to log in at work and a Hollow Knight let's play to catch up on; I think today's going to be all right.
Today's mug was last year's Christmas present from my in-laws. @Canageek has a matching one.

I'm Red. New to this platform, and new to social media. I love nature. I like to drink tea. I like to think. Drinking tea and thinking while out in nature? Even better.
Tooting and boosting things I find interesting. No minors. Thank you.

Depends who makes it. I know people (I use the term loosely) who call hot water with milk a cup of tea.
@Fragarach @ravensrod @TheBreadmonkey @HeatherMJ I think I sit somewhere between Werther's Original and He-Man and that's my happy tea place
#tea
How is it possible for the tea tree to produce so many subtle flavors and aromas. The oolong we are having today has the aroma of a wild honey, sweet but also floral, but the taste has a hint of hot rocks a mineral taste, and of course the bitter and lightly woody taste of the tea itself.
This isn't an herbal tea. HOW does this happen?
#tea well,well people who love to drink tea often know how the #water they use has a bigbig influence on the outcome of their brew. I recently got a RO water filter and digged through some tea forums. Luckily i came across, this blog:
https://teasecrets.home.blog/2020/12/06/replicating-toronto-tap-water/
It has a few water receipts. Experiementing with this is a lot of fun.
What you can see in the pic, is my first clone of Bad Liebenwerda water...
