"for the Mac" 🤣 ... fuck the Mac. iPhone forever, baby. The iPhone and iOS are easily, easily greater than every single product Apple released up to that point https://blog.codinghorror.com/serving-at-the-pleasure-of-the-king/
If your company uses web technologies but has never tried to solve pain points by fixing the web platform rather than working around the issues, why is that?

Are you changing your travel plans for November because of the US government shutdown?
Do you know any poems by memory?

Every government subsidizes something. The only difference is what the governments choose to subsidize.
In the US, we've chosen to subsidize the creation of trillionaires, through massive tax breaks. Not what I would choose, but hey. 🤷🏿♂️
We got an Elon. They got solar cells, batteries, and EVs.
And fair warning:
Please don't embarrass yourself by trying to talk about prison labor or trans rights, to a Black civil rights advocate here in the US. The US prison labor population is *larger* than China's prison labor population. The US prison labor population is larger than the entire workforce of Norway.
Most of the trans people murdered in the US are Black or brown.
But my thread is not about any of those things and you know it. My thread is not even about China.
My thread is 100% about the choices that we make in the United States, to put people who are not very smart but very racist, in charge of our most important financial investment decisions and climate future.
@checkervest I want someone to do enough research to even try to structure a hypothesis to test what the fuck a neurotype even is, without assuming-without-evidence that allism is the default majority, much less the "correct" braintype

No I don't want to create a passkey. Go away.
AI is Dunning-Kruger as a service
«A cognitive bias, where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they don’t have enough knowledge to know they don’t have enough knowledge.»

Just learned about Chivegate, the scandal that's rocking the internet. A reddit user is cutting a cup of chives every day and uploading a photo of the result to r/KitchenConfidential until they say it's perfect. However, on day 31, internet snoops caught him reposting the same pile of cut chives, subtly altered to look slightly different. As one redditor put it, "Chivelry is dead." The culprit has owned up to his deceit and is now awaiting punishment.
I was just checking out the @bonfire installation guide (which is brilliantly written btw) and suddenly I realised there was something familiar about the layout... and guess what... Bonfire is built with #ElixirLang 🥰 hex docs ftw! https://bonfirenetworks.org/start/

Mud Maid — Sculpture by Sue Hill in Cornwall, UK: This moss-covered figure of a woman rests on the forest floor at The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Her face is sculpted from clay and softened by time, while her hair and body are formed from earth and living plants, changing with the seasons—from green to snow-covered. <3 Art That Grows From the Earth (8 Photos) 👉 https://streetartutopia.com/2025/06/02/mother-natures-son-8-sculptures-where-art-grows-from-the-earth/
