@paulgatling Not bullshit, I think many of us have felt the pull. Several years ago, I got really serious about it. Met a girl on a forum who had been living the camper life and she gave me some practical tips. She said that the first year is the hardest; things go wrong that you never anticipated. She also told me that if she had to do it all over again, she would buy a jeep with a small trailer for more flexibility. So I went out and bought a car with a hitch planning to do just that, but then the pandemic hit and my life changed in unexpected ways. The closest I got was living in a rustic cabin for a couple years :)

However, to pick an example unfortunately not at random, saying: "Israel is planning to try to assassinate Trump themselves, and blame this on Iran" verges into "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" shit.

Jews have been the target of innumerable conspiracy fantasies during the last two millenia. And Israel, as the sole nation ruled by Jews, has likewise been the focus of innumerable, lurid conspiracy fantasies.

I want to share something that happened this week at camp. We have a mixed gender scout troop (basically, if you have (or don’t) a gender, you are welcome). Five of my scouts went on a whitewater rafting trip, a 2 hour bus ride away. On the way up, a young scout with some impulse control issues from another troop was misbehaving. My scouts tried to stop him and alert adults who eventually separated him, and gave him more supervision.

Update: I did it. My inbox now has zero unread emails.

All of the 638 were either replied to, read, or deleted. A good chunk were spam. A bunch involved reading code. Some involved looking at CI errors. A few resulted in writing and pushing code. A couple made me smile.
