In the messaging category it ranks fairly close to #Element X and has almost 3x the downloads of #DeltaChat. Just to give you a perspective on loudness on social media vs reality.

Last year, when I checked, there were 1053 installations of Matrix clients (most of them nheko) and 3124 of #Jabber clients (top 3: #Gajim, #Psi, and #Dino).
Also, 119 Matrix server installs (synapse) and 904 #XMPP servers (most were #prosody, then #ejabberd).

you want to count numbers? just in google play alone #DeltaChat has +1 MILLION downloads while your app is only +100k downloads
this is without counting downloads for iOS and desktop versions
