I just updated and played around with the new layout.

I have four extensions loaded. It pushed the forward arrow down to another row. That looks sloppy.

I had to switch to switch off horizontal menu layout because I don't care for the way it pops up instead of remaining visible on top of the screen. If that's an option to go back to the old way of things, it wasn't obvious.

Trying out the new Vertical Left layout then reactivating the address bar to be always visible reset the address bar. I had to reload the search box. I wish there was an option to toggle whether or not the search box was visible instead of having to go to the edit address bar menu.

Turning the status bar back on hides elements on the bottom of the vertical tab bar.

It looks... sloppy compared to Zen or even Waterfox's vertical tab layout.

@jon @Vivaldi I'm really enjoying the new look. Vivaldi continues to be the best browser available.

@jon @Vivaldi It’s probably just a glitch in the latest version, but YouTube videos play with a slight cropping issue – they work fine in other browsers. What’s more, the browser with 12 tabs open takes up nearly 2 gigabytes of memory. I cleared the cache completely after installing the new version.

Lacks transparency/blur on tab bar and panels though, and maybe adaptive transparency (home page / light color page / dark color page).

That's great.
Now, I'm kinda reluctant to install any x.0 version because, you know... (looking at you Apple) so should I hold off until 8.1 or can I run this alongside 7.9?

@jon @Vivaldi I think it’s great that this update makes it easy to switch between and try out different UI layouts. I also like that we can now save our own custom UI layouts. Plus, it’s nice that we can switch to an #ArcBrowser -style UI layout with just one click.

@jon @sadedoes recently tried Vivaldi, but that was not a great experience.

Sync issues, stability issues... On multiple platforms.
