Had a beautiful hike up the Niederhorn. Went early and did not meet anyone until the summit. There only two other hikers were enjoying the silence and views. Only during descending I had the opportunity to greet hikers going up. More and more fall is becoming my favourite season. Just stunning colours.

Apart from the hiking itself, I love the fact that I can do this with public transport. Today I had a full palette of transport types.

Does anyone have any recommendations for #train games like #OpenTTD? I like building big train networks, I'm especially interested in the passenger side of things.
I find the way that OpenTTD does town growth quite unrewarding and would like more options like proper underground metros and elevated rail.
I've played Cities: Skylines but feel like the rail aspect is neglected. Like, there are no signals or depots or sidings. The metros and elevated rail parts are cool.
I like Factorio's rail building system and the fact you can build bigger curves

I just started my journey to Zagreb for #EuroBSDCon2025. The first stretch is to Zurich, where I will board the EuroNight train to Zagreb. I'm looking forward to meet everyone there!

We're in a six person cabin with three reserved chairs (little hobbit and myself, and Martha).
On boarding the train quickly filled. Our cabin was full. Then an older lady arrived. She mentioned a reservation and pointed to the chair with the guy with the laptop with AFD & MAGA stickers.
He asked to see her ticket. She said she doesn't talk with fascists. He left.
Martha later informed us her reservation is for another seat.
The stress! 28 minutes before departure! That leaves just 20 minutes for Toddler to wave at pigeons & the flock of Jehova Witnesses (they usually don't wave back, and if they do it's only the women).
